How to actually choose a component in India

The cheapest listing is almost never the cheapest outcome. Three things decide whether a part is a good buy, and price is the last of them.

1. Is the warranty registrable in your name? Grey-market stock is frequently registered to a distributor account already. When it fails in year two, the brand will decline your claim and the seller will point at the brand. Ask for the serial before you pay, and check it on the manufacturer's India portal.

2. Has anyone actually powered it on? Most retailers ship sealed boxes they've never opened. That's fine until you get a dead-on-arrival card and lose three weeks to an RMA. Every part we list has been stress-run for 30 minutes with the results printed on a report in the box.

3. Does it fit what you already own? Socket, chipset, RAM QVL, case clearance and PSU headroom kill more builds than faulty parts do. Our compatibility check is free on every multi-part order — roughly one in nine gets flagged before it ships.

What does "bench tested" actually mean here?

Seven checks: serial verification, magnified physical inspection, a 30-minute stress run, a thermal scan, a benchmark against rated spec, a numbered tamper seal, and double-armour packing. The signed report ships in the box with your unit's real numbers on it.

Do you price-match the local market?
